About Cindy Bergeron
My passion for dog training began about 25 yrs ago when I watched my first Dog Whisperer episode. I’ve seen every episode since. In October of 2014, a dream came true as I met Cesar Milan and successfully completed his Fundamentals of Dog Behavior and Training 1 course. I picked up a lot of great information about canine: behavior, interaction, body language, socialization and ENERGY!
I started dog sitting in 2012 and learned that I have a natural instinct among the canine world. Many of my clients suggested I start dog training so here I am. In June of 2015 I attended Heather Beck’s 3D Workshop – Dealing with Difficult Dogs. In December of same year, I Graduated from Animal Behavior College, a year long course to become a Certified Dog Trainer. I had the privilege of having Starr Denison as my mentor teacher (850 hrs of class and practical training). In June of 2016, I graduated from the National K-9 School after completing a 3-week intensive course on Advanced Dog Obedience/Behavior Modification. This again certified me as a dog trainer. (132 hrs of class and practical training) I am a member of the IACP.
My goal as dog trainer:
- To bring peace and harmony into the lives of committed clients and their families, who understand that real change is possible when the right approach to their dog’s behavior is consistently applied and practiced.
- To bridge the gap between human and dog communication.
- I also believe fair and effective communication is the key to improving and enhancing the relationship between dogs and people.
- Each dog’s training should be based on the dog’s individual personality, present behavior, aptitude for learning, and the goals of the owner.
